Please note Lister Legato or Wahl Arco cannot be resharpened successfully.
All blades are precision lapped to manufacturers specification. We normally achieve about three days turn around but this will extend during October to December to around 7 to 10 days. We open packets in the order received and are not aware of any special delivery instructions until we open your package.
When paying for blade sharpening by post please add £3.50 (includes VAT) to cover UK post & packing for any number of blades. This includes insurance cover up to £20.00. For insurance of £500 please choose Special Delivery.
When ordering blade sharpening on line please choose from the various insurance levels shown at Check Out .
Blades sent to Clippers for sharpening should be carefully protectively wrapped. Please send your blades along with your address & a cheque for the cost of sharpening and postage to Clippers Ltd. It is important to include payment & address details because failure to do so causes delays in returning the blades.

We recommend that mains operated clipping machines and equipment are visually inspected for damage on a regular basis and before use and are subject to combined inspection and electrical test at least annually or more frequently according to the severity of use. Machines are only accepted by Clippers Ltd on the basis that all machines will be subject to full Service, Functional and Safety Test; Please see Terms and Conditions.
The following table gives service and carriage costs for clipping machines, dog machines, trimmers & scissors.
We service and repair most makes of clipping machines but please note we are unable to deal with Chinese Imports, Laube or Double K. We can only service machines where we are able to trace compliance with UK/European Safety Standards.
Where parts are found to be defective these are replaced at retail cost with no additional labour charge. Where the cost of repair is over typically £70.00 (or otherwise as agreed) we will check with the owner whether to proceed. Quotations for repair are given free of charge. All electrical repairs include an approved electrical safety test. It is important to note that where a customer decides not to procede with a repair the machine WILL NOT be re-assembled before return at above carriage charges and will be marked "not safe to use".
Please send clipping machines for service and/or repair direct to Clippers along with any instructions. Please only include blades if you want these sharpened. Customers will be contacted for payement when the work is complete and before delivery. We advise customers to arrange transit insurance to protect all goods despatched to Clippers Ltd for service or repair.
We no longer offer a machine collection service and advise customers to use a cost effective courier service with insurance.
